In 1984, his lab developed a state-of-the-art 100 Mbps fiber optics network prototype, and Smith thought it was a good idea to sell it, and succeeded selling the system and caught everyone in surprise - nobody ever prepared to delivery it, no tech support whatsoever. So he transited from engineering to sales and marketing...

@koya @orz 另外就是，你可能也理解不了很多崇尚互联网精神的人，对一切阻碍互联网自由的事物（包括但不限于墙、过度审查、割用户韭菜的大公司等）所怀有的愤怒……的确你可以说，啊那些用户是自愿被割的！自愿被墙的！——但是作为（知识上、技术上、途经上等）弱势的一方，是谈不上“自愿”的。而他殆知阁作为相对掌握更多资源和知识的人，本可以不用把长毛象用成另一个圈养工具。
